Basil Hadley

Basil Hadley was born in London in 1940 and studied at Ealing College of Art before arriving in Australia in 1965. His individualistic figurative and non-figurative paintings have been described as "refusing to bow to fad, fashions or the dictates of art theory".

Basil exhibited in many international and Australian art and print exhibitions in Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne, and was awarded numerous art prizes throughout Australia. His work is represented in all State and many regional galleries. Basil Hadley died in Adelaide in 2006.

For sale is an etching by Basil Hadley – entitled River Murray II – edition 7/25, signed and dated (1976). Measuring 46.5 x 42.5 cms it is well priced at $350.
